Welcome to our new engineering blog. We’re so glad you’re here.
Wingman is a real-time platform to record, transcribe and analyze sales conversations and accelerate revenue growth. Or that’s what our salespeople say, but we are engineers.
At Wingman, we work with cutting-edge tech to parse thousands of sales conversations (dialer calls, video meetings and emails) in real-time for actionable insights.
We’re building best-in-class Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms specifically for sales. A distributed team of 16 engineers across 9 cities, we are David up against Goliaths. 😁
We tackle challenges like accents, overlapping dialogue and variable audio quality, while crafting innovative customer-facing features like real-time monologue alerts and battle cards. We make life easy for our customers — sales teams everywhere — by building integrations with their favorite tools.
It’s not all smooth sailing, but we’re learning so much by building Wingman that we want to share it all with the wider world, engineers and not. This blog is where we’ll talk all things code, tools and processes, from an engineer’s POV. By sharing how we do what we do, we hope to refine our own understanding and help fellow engineers avoid the mistakes we make.
Plus, glimpses of the humans behind the machines.
For a start, here we are in the hills of Yercaud, Tamil Nadu. We work remotely, so this was where many of us met each other in-person for the first time. It was a blast, just look at all the smiles.
